Another Ghost Girl

This early-working "Ghost Girl" idea comes from a song off Ciba Matto's latest album, Hotel Valentine. The song being '10th Floor Ghost Girl'. Ill get more into that later. Though, okay! So back in November I was super into studying fashion, researching everything about it, watching interviews yada yada. I was looking at Vogue's best streetwear from Tokyo's Fashion Week. I saw this photo

Just a rough draft - graphite on a 12" x 18" sketchpad.

and i was like goddddamm that is amazing!!! I have an incredibly unusual affinity for umbrella's these days (i think it stems from all the amazing umbrellas in Animal Crossing, i want all of them).

Anyways, so i drew a rough sketch of how i saw this image.

India ink & red pens are my favorite combination.

I just keep going and going with ink and pen, eventually adding acrylic paint into the mix for strong black & white.

I was pretty happy with how this turned out, as it started a just a little fabric study, i just wanted to draw some clothes! This was back in November when i finished this. However, just the other day i wanted to re-investigate this image, so i scanned and redrew it in photoshop. How does anyone know when a piece is finished??

Acrylic paint, ink, & graphite on paper.
